At Willow Tree Therapy Services, we recognise that every child experiences and responds to the world differently. Many children benefit from environments that feel calm, predictable and free from unnecessary demands, where they can explore, play and regulate in ways that work for them.
Our purpose-built sensory room was created with this in mind. It is regularly used during our speech and language therapy sessions and is also available for private hire at selected times throughout the week.
The room provides a welcoming multi-sensory environment where children and their families can enjoy exploring a range of sensory experiences at their own pace. Whether your child enjoys movement, lights, visual stimulation, quiet relaxation or simply having a safe space to be themselves, the room offers opportunities to support regulation, relaxation, play and shared enjoyment.
The room includes a range of specialist equipment, including:
- A large bubble tube
- Interactive projector
- Mood table
- Sound and light panels
- Infinity tunnel
- Fibre optic light wall
The room is suitable for children of all abilities and is generally most appropriate for children up to around 13 years of age.
For everyone’s comfort and safety, a responsible adult must remain with the child throughout the session.
Maximum capacity
- Up to 4 adults (with children under 1 year)
- Up to 3 adults and 3 children under 3 years
- Up to 2 adults with 1 or 2 children over 3 years
